The Cultural Heritage Incubator (Kai) is a co-founded project (2018 – 2021) where we test and evaluate a model for stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of cultural heritage.
Archives, libraries, museums and the cultural environment are depending on innovative solutions to be able to able to preserve, utilize and develop the cultural heritage, still the range of services and products is limited.
By identifying the sector’s needs and working closely together with innovators and entrepreneurs, the incubator will create a stimulating environment where products can be tested and evaluated. The focus is digital services that either facilitate the work in the cultural sector and/or services that allows the public to experience the cultural heritage.
The incubator is financed by European Regional Development Fund, The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, Region Gotland, The Swedish National Heritage Board, Uppsala University and Gotland Science Park.
